Police in north east Fife are appealing for witnesses following a number of break-ins to garden sheds and business premises in the Falkland and Auchtermuchty areas.

Over the past two weeks, seven incidents have been reported in Back Dykes Terrace, South Street West and High Street, Cupar Road and Distillery Street, resulting in various goods, including power tools and in once instance, an archery set, being stolen.

These offences are being investigated as part of Operation RAC and anyone who can assist officers with their inquiry is asked to come forward.

Detective Constable Andy Robertson said: “We are currently investigating to establish if these incidents are linked and I would ask anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity around these areas over the past two weeks contacts police immediately.

“I would also ask that home and business owners continue to ensure they have appropriate security measures in place at their properties.
