Police make new appeal for witnesses to Kirkcaldy robbery

A quantity of the cash was stolen from the TSB branch on Dunearn Drive during the incident, which happened on Friday, January 29.

Detectives previously issued CCTV images of two men they wish to trace in connection with their inquiries and have reiterated their appeal for information from the public to trace these individuals.

The first male is described as white, in his late 20s or early 30s with dark stubble on his face. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap and dark coloured clothing.

The second male is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, around 30 years old, of medium build and with stubble.

At the time of this incident, he wore a dark coloured baseball cap, dark blue/grey hooded top and dark coloured trainers. He also wore dark blue jogging bottoms with a distinctive white coloured motif running partially down one leg.

Both men were also seen riding bicycles on Alford Avenue around the time of the incident.

A new image has been released of the type of dark blue jogging bottoms worn by the second male and members of the community who know of anyone who wears these garments is asked to come forward.

Inquiries have established the jogging bottoms are made by Polish manufacturer Mordex – a brand associated with bodybuilding.

It is believed at least one of the males officers are looking to trace is Eastern European.

Detective Sergeant Samantha Davidson said: “If members of the public know anyone who wears this brand of clothing then please get in touch to assist with our inquiries.

“In addition, anyone with any further information relating to this robbery should also contact police immediately.”
