Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a Land Rover Freelander and a cyclist on the B996 Kinross to Gairneybank Road in KInross-shire at about 9.55am yesterday morning.

The 56 year-old male cyclist sustained back injuries in connection with the incident and was taken by air ambulance to Ninewells Hospital for treatment. The 36-year-old driver of the Land Rover, also male, was uninjured.

Anyone who has any information that may assist officers with their ongoing enquiries into the collision or anyone who may have seen either the vehicle or the cyclist shortly before the incident, is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
