Altogether, the Class A and B drugs have an estimated street value of at least £488,000.

Superintendent Ricky Ness of the specialist crime division, said: “Thanks to some excellent work by local officers and specialist resources from across the east, these drugs will no longer be able to make their way on to our streets.

“The success of this recovery would not have been possible without information from the public, which is why it’s vital that communities continue to tell us about their concerns or suspicious behaviour in their neighbourhoods.

Police Scotland is committed to acting on all the intelligence we receive, and if you have information about the supply or use of drugs I’d urge you to contact us on 101 or make an anonymous report through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

A 25-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman have been arrested and are expected to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday, June 13.
