Fife Council are urging members of the public to make use of its online webchat service during the current pandemic.
The local authority is currently dealing with emergency calls only in its contact centre, however people can still contact the council via its webchat on its website.

“This has included making sure as many of our employees as possible are able to work from home. As a result, we’re currently dealing with emergency calls only in our contact centre.
“However, we know many our customers are online, have quick questions and would like to be able to speak to someone straight away – in the way that they would usually do through our phone call - so we’d like to remind customers that they can also get in touch with us via webchat at www.fife.gov.uk
“If you have a question about bins, housing repairs, registration, rent or other council services and can’t find the answers on our website, then just click the chat button.

The webchat service is available at www.fife.gov.uk Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

While I have your attention, I also have an important request to make of you. In order for us to continue to provide high quality and trusted local news on this free-to-read site, I am asking you - wherever possible and providing it is safe for you to do so - to also please purchase a copy of our newspapers; the Fife Free Press, Fife Herald, St Andrews Citizen, East Fife Mail and Glenrothes Gazette.
Inevitably falling advertising revenues will start to have an impact on local newspapers and the way we continue to work during this period of uncertainty.
