Kirkcaldy's historic court to replace damaged screens at entrance

Plans have been lodged to replace the large windows at the front of Kirkcaldy’s historic sheriff court.

The listed building, which dates from 1893, has full height glazed screens next to its main entrance which link its wings.

A planning application lodged with Fife Council shows they are in need of repair and replacement.

The lower screens have been the subject of repeated damage both accidental and deliberate - one is described as “significantly vandalised.”

The application proposes a solid construction at the base.
