Plans lodged for homes for over-55s in north-east Fife town
Kingdom Housing Association intends to build on land south of Toll Road in Guardbridge, serving as an extension to a site which was completed to the south-east around three years ago.
The social landlord says it has come to an agreement with Fife social housing bosses to create eight flats, and a combination of one and two-bedroom bungalows to meet expected housing demand in the area.

Kingdom argues that the 30 homes will help to fulfil Fife's target of 65 affordable homes being built each year in the north-east under its Strategic Housing Investment Plan.
Planning agents Montgomery Forgan Associates said: "In terms of local need, waiting list figures show that there is a strong demand for social rental and mid market rental affordable homes."
It is the second attempt Kingdom has made to build on the land after lodging an earlier, similar planning application in March last year.

Kingdom says it has amended the application to restrict the homes to the over-55s.
The agents said: "The site is eminently suitable for affordable housing for those aged 55 years and over. “
