Starbucks is looking to open a restaurant in Glenrothes.

The development forms part of a re-submitted planning application to develop land owned by the Kingdom Centre.

Already approved by Fife Council in April, the repeat application is for the development of two restaurants/cafes/coffee shops with drive through facilities located on Leslie Road - are used near the Henge Retail Park currently used for car parking.

The updated paperwork relates specifically for a Starbucks.

The proposal would mean the whole site came under one application.

Applicants, Inceptum2 Solutions Ltd, from Preston, said one of the proposed units was smaller, and that would mean more car parking availability - up to 74 spaces.

The development would create between 45 and 60 jobs.
