Portugal pipes join Fife International Carnival

Fife International Carnival
Fife International Carnival

Fife International Carnival comes to Kirkcaldy on Saturday - bringing the spirit and feel of carnival to the heart of our town centre.

Some 170 performers from all over the world will stage a colourful parade through the town before heading to the Town Square for an afternoon of outstanding music, dance and entertainment.

There are also stages for performances on the High Street - and thousands are expected to hit town to be part of the spectacle.

To whet your appetite we’re featuring videos of some of the bands you can see this weekend.

Look out for the unique sound of Bombrando.

Hailing from Portugal, this band blends the unusual sounds of percussion with the Portuguese bagpipes to play a wide range of different music.

They will be perfoming on stages across the High Street.
