Power tools stolen after thieves break-in to new Levenmouth Academy site

Police in Levenmouth are appealing for witnesses following a break-in to a building site in Buckhaven.

The incident happened sometime between 6pm on yesterday (Tuesday) and 7am this morning (Wednesday) at the new Levenmouth Academy, which is under construction on Methilhaven Road.

During this time, the site was entered and numerous power tools were stolen.

Inquiries are on-going to trace those responsible and anyone with information is asked to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Paula Warrender from Levenmouth Police Station said: “We believe whoever broke into these premises would have required a vehicle to remove the various tools that were stolen.

“Anyone who remembers seeing a car or van removing items from the site during this time should contact police immediately.

“In addition, anyone who saw anything suspicious or who believes they can assist with our investigation should also contact police as soon as possible.”
