Psychedelic kids run charity race

Kind-hearted siblings from Buckhaven have run that extra mile this summer in a bid to raise extra funds for charity.

Amy Fraser (6) and her brother Logan (4) completed the 5K Colour Me Rad event at Ingliston recently to raise over £400 for their chosen charity Autism Rocks.

And proud father Steven (33) was there with his wife to cheer them on at the psychadelic challenge in which runners are blasted with coloured powder throughout the race.

“I thought it would be too much for them but they were tearing off and overtaking the adults! As soon as they finished they wanted to do it again next year.”

Amy and Logan often get involved in charitable activities.Prior to each birthday and Christmas, they clearout their toy boxes and donate items to local charity shops.

They also regularly contribute to foodbanks, by taking a shopping basket and walking around the supermarket to pick items, as well as paying for it at the checkout by themselves.

“We let them do the whole process so they understand better what it feels like to put thought into making sure those who are not as lucky as they are do not have to go without,” said Steven.
