Public crowdfunding launched to create new Gilvenbank sports hub
Rising stars Glenrothes Cricket Club are hoping the launch of a public crowdfunding initiative will help trigger the sort of investment that make the £1m Gilvenbank-based sports hub, which will include a pavilion, new cricket field, football pitches and practice areas for the use of the whole of the community, a reality.
“Gilvenbank Park offers a fantastic location and we have all of the designs,” explained Kenny Crichton, chairman of Glenrothes Cricket Club.

“With the public’s support and the backing of the North Glenrothes Community Council who have been fantastic, we will make this much needed facility for the north of the town a reality,”
Around £120,000 has already been committed by Fife Council.
