The seizure marks the latest success of the Glenrothes Community Team as officers continue to target those involved in drug criminality in the Glenrothes community.

Community Sergeant Kenny Greig said: “This, once again, shows our commitment to tackling individuals involved in the sale and supply of controlled drugs. There is no excuse for it.

“These drugs were destined for our streets and we are not going to let people make a substantial income from this type of criminality. These types of crimes can have a significant detrimental effect on the quality of life for residents and this behaviour is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

“We have been told at local Community Engagement Meetings that this is an issue and we will strive to make our community a better place to live.

“I would also like to thank the public for their assistance in providing us with the information so we can take action as shown by today’s successful operation.”
