Queensferry Crossing reopens to traffic following police incident

The Queensferry Crossing has reopened after a police incident led to the bridge being closed off in both directions.

Police Scotland said they received a ‘concern for person’ call around 5.15pm on Wednesday (April 14), and the bridge was closed to traffic shortly after officers arrived on the scene.

Traffic was diverted via the Kincardine Bridge.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said earlier on Wednesay: “Around 5:15pm, police received a concern for person call on the Queensferry Crossing.

“Emergency services are in attendance.

“The southbound carriageway is closed from the Fife direction towards Edinburgh.”
