Road accident victim was ‘one in a million’

THE devastated family of a young father-of-two killed in a road accident last week have described him as ‘one in a million’.

Brian Forbes (22), of Kettlebridge, died from the injuries he sustained when his car was involved in a collision with a single decker bus on the A921 Kirkcaldy to Kinghorn road at around 5.15pm last Wednesday evening.

Following the tragedy the family of the devoted dad, an IT analyst with Briggs Marine of Burntisland, issued a poignant tribute through Fife Police.

They said: “Brian was a loving partner and dad.

“He had worked hard to gain and keep a career to support his family.

“He was mature beyond his years, devoted sensible and caring – one in a million who will be sadly missed by his partner Louise and children.”

Seven passengers on the bus - including several children - were treated for minor injuries following the accident.

The road was closed for several hours while investigations were carried out, and police have issued an appeal for witnesses.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Fife Constabulary on 0845 600 5702 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
