Road closure, diversions and traffic lights set to hit drivers in Leslie
Essential resurfacing work is due to start next week in Leslie.
Fife Council’s Transportation and Environmental Services are set to carry out essential carriageway resurfacing works on the A911 Leslie, High Street, between the Greenside and Murray Place.
The works will commence on Monday(August 15), and are expected to take approximately three weeks, utilising traffic lights at all times.
To safely undertake additional resurfacing of the Falkland Hill Road from the High Street junction to Monks Walk, a road closure is also required on this section.
A temporary local traffic diversion will be in place from Monday until Friday (August 19).
Access for emergency services will be maintained, but are required to follow the diversion routes during the road closure.
Access for residents and business will be maintained where practicable, at the discretion of the contractor during the works.
These dates are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, e.g. poor weather, or works progressing ahead of programme.
A Fife Council spokesman said: “Any inconvenience and delay caused by these essential works is regretted, however, as far as possible, this will be kept to a minimum. Your patience and co-operation is greatly appreciated.”
