She’s just been to Augusta for the Masters golf tournament and is currently in Sheffield fronting the BBC’s coverage of the World Snooker Championships.
But despite spending much of the year at major events around the world, one of the highlights of 2015 for sports presenter Hazel Irvine will be back in her home town of St Andrews – and we’re not talking about The Open, although that features on her busy schedule too.
Hazel will return to her birthplace for a special evening hosted by the Rotary Club of St Andrews.
The television anchor will be interviewed by internationally-renowned golf journalist Renton Laidlaw on Saturday, June 6, for the latest in the ‘Look Who’s Talking’ series, a popular event arranged by the rotary club and sponsored by local law firm, Thorntons.
Hazel said: “St Andrews is a place very close to my heart as I was born here and returned to study at Scotland’s oldest university. It’s always wonderful to come back.
“It will be a great night of entertainment, and, more importantly, it will raise money for charities supported by the Rotary Club of St Andrews.”
The event will be held at the Old Course Hotel, Gold Resort and Spa, at 7.30pm.
Tickets are now available and can be purchased from Thorntons offices at Kinburn Castle, Doubledykes Road, St Andrews, or online at www.thorntons-law.co.uk/standrewsrotary
