Following successful events over the last two years, artists and designers from Kinghorn have announced their third Round The Horn Advent Calendar Trail.

It will take place on Saturday, November 22 with doors open from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

And there will be even more on show – with 10 venues for the public to visit, and a total of 20 artists, designers and makers exhibiting their work, some for the first time.

Painting, sculpture, glass, jewellery, ceramics, prints, textiles, homewares, accessories, papercrafts, gifts and much more will be available to view, sample, buy and commission.

And visitors will be able see work in progress, watch demonstrations, discuss techniques, request a commission as well as buy direct from each artist/designer/maker and witness first hand the inspiration and motivation which drives them to create.

The aim is to forge a lasting relationship between local people and local makers, and to make people more aware of the creative talent within and around Kinghorn.

Annie Crow, one of the artists taking part, explained: “We’re hoping Round The Horn this year will be just as busy s, or even more so – please come and support us!

“Complete the whole trail, or just pop in to a select few venues. Doing the whole trail gives you the chance to win a fantastic Christmas Stocking full of creative gifts made by all the artists, designers and makers involved this year. It’s a fantastic day out, and you can get some of your Christmas shopping done too!”

Leaflets with a map of the creative trail showing all of the studio locations and information about each artist involved are currently being distributed to locations around Fife, but are also available within Kinghorn from the following: Station Studio & Gallery; The Dragon’s Den; Kinghorn Community Centre; Nicola’s Cupcake Cafe; The Co-op; Kinghorn Glass Studio.

They are also available in venues in Aberdour, Burntisland, Kirkcaldy, Edinburgh, Falkland and Pittenweem, and copies will be available on the day along with stamping sheets for entry into the prize draw.

Artists taking part include: Andrew & Rose Bentley-Steed; Cadge & Relic; Gail Cadogan; Claire Christie; Annie Crow; Nick Farr; Ritchie Feenie; Gingerbread Designs; Douglas Gray; Lynette Gray; Julia Laing; Gilly Lee; Catherine Lindow; Louise C.Logan; Angela McGillivray; Hilary McGuire; Evie Milo; Meg Moore; Paul Neal and Carole Robinson.
