Say a final farewell to old Kirkcaldy school
Two open days are planned to allow students of the past to have a final wander around their old classrooms and maybe meet old schoolmates or teachers and reminisce about the past.
The first of the open days will take place this Saturday, May 28, and the second on June 18, both from 9am until noon.

The last official day in the current school building will be June 24, with the annual awards ceremony taking place that afternoon.
The following week the school will be closed and staff will begin the onerous task of moving everything from the old to the new building within the Windmill Campus, with all pupils attending the new Viewforth High School on Windmill Road on Friday, July 1.
Heather Henderson (50), a former pupil, who has been helping to organise the farewell events to the old building, said she hoped that anyone who had not been to say goodbye to the old school building would take the chance to do so.

“The previous events like the Christmas disco and the afternoon tea for former pupils were well attended and everyone who came along said it was great to be back, so hopefully the open days will be the same and attract good turnouts.”
