Policee are appealing for information after two schoolboys were robbed of a mobile phone by a man in Overton Road, Kirkcady at 12.30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon (February 4).

The robber was in his late 20s to early 30s, 5ft 6ins - 5ft 8ins in height and of medium build with ginger stubble, short reddish hair and grey streaks running through it.

He was wearing grey jogging bottoms, a grey puffa style jacket or body warmer with a black hooded top underneath.

Detective Sergeant Neil McKenzie said: “The two victims bravely chased after the man and tackled him, managing to get the phone back, before he ran off again.

“The boys were left shaken and frightened by this incident and I would appeal for anyone who witnessed it, or recognises the description of the thief, to contact the Police on 101 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
