An author originally from Kennoway has just released his third book - with plans already afoot for the fourth in the series.
Gordon ‘Scotty’ MacKay, who grew up in the town before joining the RAF aged 17, came up with the idea for his first novel, ‘An Alien Affair’, over 15 years ago, before moving to Morocco after he left the forces following a 22 year career.
The books are science-fiction based with much of everything added into the lengthy plotGordon ‘Scotty’ MacKay
Now living in Spain, he has just completed the third in the series ‘An Alien War’, where murder, mayhem and terrorism on Earth is cleverly welded into a battle for supremacy between aliens and humans.
Scotty explained: “The trilogy began while I was studying for a BSc with the Open University, graduating in 1997, where my writing skills were carefully honed to a much greater level as I continuously learned.

He said readers can expect lots of action, a bit of romance, historical facts and some science in the novels.
Although he studied Earth Sciences, Scotty said his interest in the field started as a boy growing up in Kennoway.
“I’m intrigued by all things historical and believe we can learn from the past, always hoping we can avoid making the same errors. Kennoway received the same attention from me as an inquisitive youngster, where Druidism and Roman occupation is still much in evidence, especially in the town’s picturesque ‘Den’.”
All three books are available to download on Amazon Kindle.
