Ceres Highland Games committee is seeking the family of a former event secretary after police in Edinburgh found his antique pocket watch.
Charles Kidd was secretary of the games committee for 15 years in the early part of the 20th century and was presented with the watch in June 1927.
The current committee was asked to help police in their efforts to track down Charles’ family and return the watch.
Members found through their research that he had been married to Mary, who had two brothers David and Alec.
The committee would like to hear from anyone who has information about the family — an ideal opportunity would be this year’s games on Saturday, June 25.
This year the event — the oldest free games in Scotland having first been held in 1314 — will be televised on BBC Scotland.
Any information on the family of Charles Kidd can also be passed on to Grant Robertson on 01334 828029 or firstname.lastname@example.org
