Sewer networks to be improved in Burntisland and Methil
Small segments of the local networks, at Harbour View in Methil and Haugh Road in Burntisland, have been impacted by the growth of tree roots. Work will take place to reline the existing sewer.
This work began on Monday and is expected to last approximately one to two weeks.

Relining of the sewer may require 24 hour attendance and as a result there may be some low level background noise and lights generated by the equipment supporting our works, however to help mitigate noise levels Scottish Water will be using special equipment to minimise disturbance.
Project Manager Scott Heath said: “We are working hard to always do the right thing for the environment in Scotland and we have identified essential upgrades to the waste water network in both Methil and Burntisland.
“Following site investigations last year we are now ready to begin work on the main phase of construction.

“We would like to thank you for your understanding and cooperation while we complete these essential works.”
