Once again Fife has been captured in all its glory by our readers.
The Fife Free Press Group’s Discovering Fife 2016 calendar competition has again produced an impressive portfolio.
Building on the success of last year’s challenge, we again have images that capture the Kingdom in every mood and light – from sunrises to sunsets, in snow and sun, and coast and countryside.
We need 13 images from the pictures in this slideshow and this year the task of choosing these will fall to a judging panel headed by professional photographer Walter Neilson.
Walter has offered his expert eye after you, the readers, thought that was a fairer way to select the winners, replacing the readers’ vote we had last year.
And, by popular demand, entries this year were restricted to only one photograph per entrant – so we know there will definitely be 13 separate winners!
It really has been another eye-catching competition, not only showing how stunning Fife is in all its diversity, but also how creative the readers of the Fife Free Press, East Fife Mail, Glenrothes Gazette, Fife Herald and St Andrews Citizen are.
This year we asked you to turn your cameras towards images that were definitively ‘Fife’ – and you have achieved that.
The entries have kept our newsroom captivated over the past few months and we all have our favourites so it will be interesting to find out if the judges agree with us.
We’ll notify the winners as soon as we know the results but, in the meantime, we all thank you for taking part and your efforts.
Good luck to one and all.
