Almost 2000 women took part in this year’s Race for Life in Kirkcaldy on June 28.
The annual event, which raises money for Cancer Research UK, saw many taking part who have survived cancer themselves, or participating in memory or celebration of loved ones.
Sounding the klaxon for the 5k event, which saw 1400 women take part, was breast cancer survivor Carole Smith, who herself has completed three Race for Life events.
Last year the 2000 women who took part in Race for Life Kirkcaldy helped raise £120,000 for the charity and it is hoped this year’s event will be just as successful.
Here is a small selection of pictures taken on the day.
