Smiles for the camera class...

BUSINESS CLASS: Parkhill Primary's enterprising P7s.

P7 pupils at Parkhill Primary in Leven have been focusing on the world of business.

They have set up a company called PPP Enterprise and are making calendars to sell at their Christmas fayre on December 1.

These aren’t your usual ho-hum calendars, though – the photos have been taken by hand-made pinhole cameras.

Assistance came from local artist Katie Fowlie, who visited the school to help the youngsters make their cameras, take the pictures and then develop them in their own specially-made temporary darkroom.

The enterprise project runs like a small business, with a number of teams having specific jobs in areas such as administration, sales, production, finance and advertising – all under the watchful eye of managing director Aleesha Graham.

Many local businesses have already offered help to fund the enterprise by sponsoring the group, including Lazy Daisy flower shop, Delmor Estate Agents, Heart and Soul, Greetings and Fife Properties.

And the pupils would like to hear from any other businesses which might like to make a donation.

The group hopes to raise money for the charity LoveOliver and will be selling its products at the fayre on Saturday, December 1.
