Stagecoach is set to consult with the Kirkcaldy community over proposals for a bus network change across town.
The new routes, which can be viewed online, will also be put before members of the public at a Stagecoach stall on Kirkcaldy High Street tomorrow morning (Thursday), outside Marks and Spencers from 9.30am until noon.
Among the changes, which are due to take effect in November, Stagecoach propose to create a new No 15 service, to partly replace K1 and K5, offering a direct 20 minute interval link between Harris Drive, Robert Adam Drive, Glen Bruar Place and Fife retail park.
New 16A and 16C circular routes, operating on an hourly basis in each direction via major retail centres, Fife College and through the town centre are also proposed.
New services 11/12 would connect Brodick Road – Redcraigs (11) / Birnam Road (12) – Fife Retail Park, while Stagecoach promise departures to Leven every 10 minutes during most of the day, “replacing the uneven spread of departures currently in operation.”
A full list of the proposals can be viewed at stagecoachbus where people can also provide feedback before the deadline of Wednesday, September 9.
