The Scottish SPCA is seeking the owner of a stray duck found in Kirkcaldy.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity was alerted when a resident of Laburnum Drive discovered the bird in a wooded area behind the street on Saturday afternoon (March 28).
The white domestic duck is now in the care of the Scottish SPCA’s animal rescue and rehoming centre in Balerno, Edinburgh.
Robyn Gray, animal rescue officer, said: “As he is a domestic duck, this would suggest someone has been keeping him as a pet.
“He may have escaped from home but it’s also possible he has been abandoned.
“Hopefully someone will recognise this duck so we can reunite him with his owner.
“If no-one comes forward we’ll find him a permanent new home.”
Anyone who recognises the duck is being asked to contact the Scottish SPCA’s Edinburgh centre on 03000 999 999.
