Businesses in the Kingdom got the chance to attend the UK’s largest renewable energy event as members of Fife Council’s Market Development Programme.
Nine Fife companies joined the Council’s economic development team at All-Energy in Glasgow.
Hydrosphere, Ductform Ventilation, Briggs Marine, Fife College, Green Business Fife and Burntisland Fabrications were joined by CCD Marine, Clean Power Solutions and IT Managed Experts who were attending for the first time.
The two-day event showcased Fife’s manufacturing and engineering expertise to a worldwide audience, and delegates were able to identify new and exciting opportunities in the renewable energy market and build new contacts as well as hear from experts in the renewables field.
Companies also benefited from attending All-Energy’s Share Fair. A range of companies provided useful insight into the tendering process for specific projects, many of which were of interest to Fife’s delegation of companies.
Councillor Lesley Laird, depute leader and spokesperson for economy and planning, said: “All-Energy offers an excellent platform to promote the infrastructure, support services and company capabilities which make Fife a centre of excellence in renewable technologies.
“All-Energy is one of Fife’s key trade exhibitions and just one of the events in the Council’s Market Development Programme. The programme offers practical and effective way for Fife companies to take part in trade shows and events and is one of the ways we’re working to make Fife the best place to do business.”
