THE American dream beckons for Windygates beauty-queen Sula Powell after she came out on top at a prestigious pageant recently.

The 15-year-old was a participant in the Europe’s Perfect Junior Teen pageant, which was held at the Grand Pavilion, Porthcall, Wales.

Sula sailed through her section on the day and then met the other three victors in the competition’s final, where judges announced her as the ultimate winner.

Her victory now means that she will visit the States in August where she will compete in the world finals.

Sula’s delighted mum, Lorraine, told the Mail: “It’s not bad for a wee Scottish lass.

“Sula goes back down to Wales in December for a photo-shoot with top photographer Nick Parry, and she has a front page cover to do for ‘Supermodels Unlimited’ which is a US magazine but will be launching in the UK next month.

“Sula’s chosen charities for the run-up to the World’s Perfect Junior Teen in Florida in August are Maggie’s Centre and CHAS Kinross, which Sula has already donated a lot to.”

The fourth year pupil at Bell Baxter High School, who collected around £5000 worth of prizes for her latest success, has recently been snapped up by Glasgow based Superior Model Management and has a casting this week with two scouts from Milan.

Her diary is also filling up quickly with other work, and the local lass has found out that she has been shortlisted to carry the Olympic Torch when it visits Fife.

Mum Lorraine added: “Young people get such a bad name these days and its unfair .

“Sula’s motto is ‘you can achieve any thing in life if you work hard at it, and treat people how you would like to be treated yourself’.” Sula is available for appearances, call Lorraine on 07979088524.
