Vehicle in field after Quarry Road accident

A man has been taken to hospital for a check-over after his vehicle was involved in an accident on the Orrock Quarry Road earlier this morning (Thursday).

The man’s Ford Fiesta ended up in a field following the accident, which happened shortly after 7am. No other vehicle was involved.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said the man had been checked by paramedics at the scene but was not seriously injured. He has been taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy as a precautionary measure.

Although several vehicles stopped to help at the time of the accident, the road remained open to traffic.
