Traffic to be diverted between Cupar and Pitscottie

Fife Council will be carrying out essential carriageway resurfacing and associated drainage improvement works on the B940 between Cupar and Pitscottie from Monday, August 29 for approximately 13 weeks.

In order to undertake the works safely a road closure will be required.

A temporary traffic diversion will be in operation and traffic will be diverted via B940 to B939 and A916 to A914 and A91 to B940 and vice versa.

During this closure we will also undertake footway reconstruction from Cupar to Tailabout Farm. Access for businesses and residents will be maintained with traffic light control.

Dates could be subject to change depending on circumstances, e.g. poor weather, or works progressing ahead of programme.

Access for the emergency services will be maintained but they will be required to follow the diversion routes during the road closures.

Access for residents and business will be maintained where practicable at the discretion of the contractor during the works.

Should you require any further information or advice about this project please contact Philip Suttie at Fife Council on 03451 555555 ext 450520.
