Resurfacing work is set to start on a section of the A92.

Amey is undertaking the work to the north of Ladybank from Tuesday (September 10) until the 17th. The £202,000 project will address defects on 650 metres of the road between the recycling centre at Ladybank and Melville Lodges Roundabout.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight road closures between 7.30pm and 6.30am.

Diversions will be in place. Northbound traffic will leave the A92 at New Inn Roundabout, following the A914 north to Cupar and taking the first exit at the East Bridge Roundabout onto the A91 Bonnygate. Traffic can then continue east to rejoin the A92 at Melville Lodges Roundabout. Southbound traffic will follow the route in reverse.

The resurfacing will benefit more than 9,500 vehicles who use this route each day. The work may be rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
