The second part of the conference will be a workshop, giving people a chance to share their views on how to get the Scottish Government to back the scheme.

LMRC chair Eugene Clarke commented: “Progress has stumbled a bit despite the optimism last year when the Transport Minister seemed to have given the go ahead for the next step.

“It is disappointing to note that five months later Transport Scotland have still not agreed the remit for the next set of consultants.

“We hope the conference will reinvigorate the campaign and ensure the Scottish Government does not lose sight of what is a vital project in the regeneration of the Levenmouth community.”

The campaign group says it hopes that both Transport Scotland and Fife Council will attend to deliver presentations.

The conference will take place at the Fife Renewables Innovation Centre on April 27, between 11am-2pm.
