Councillors cut speed limit on Fife road

Councillors have backed an amendment to promote a 30mph speed limit in a Fife town.

It will impact on at Main Street in Low Valleyfield.

The approved came at a meeting of South and West Fife area committee.

A report from roads and transportation said it had no record of any crashes in the last ten years.

But councillors noted this did not include any near misses.

Cllr Mino Manekshaw said: "A whole raft of accidents don't figure on many statistics."
