A 10mph system will be in place between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night for the safety of roadworkers and motorists.

The A92 Chapel southbound off-slip will also be closed overnight on June 23 and 24, with a signed diversion in place directing traffic via the A92 southbound to Lochgelly junction and then back on the A92 northbound to Chapel junction.

All traffic management will be removed during the day.

Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s north east representative, said: “The safety of our employees and our supply chain remains a top priority at this difficult time, and all personnel will be subject to strict physical distancing protocols in line with Scottish Government guidance to ensure they are kept safe.

“Thorough risk assessments have been developed and cleansing stations will be implemented on site to ensure all staff remain safe.

“As always we’ll do all we can to ensure that this project is completed as quickly and as safely as possible.”
