A Fife road remains closed following a serious crash this morning.

The A985 Cairneyhill-Kincardine road was shut after a one-vehicle crash around dawn.

A 61-year old man was taken to hospital in Edinburgh with serious injuries.

Police Scotland said officers were alerted to the one vehicle crash around 5:30am, and that the road between Cairneyhill roundabout and Kincardine junction remains shut

The X25 and X26 bus services to and from Glasgow are being diverted along the A907 and are unable to serve Crossford or Cairneyhill. Stagecoach has advised passengers travelling to these west Fife towns to use local services.
