The project will address defects in the road surface on the southbound section between Kelty (Junction 4) and Halbeath (Junction 3).

From Monday until its completion on Thursday, a contraflow system will be in place between J4 and J3 from 6.30am on Monday until 6.30am on Thursday.

Single lane traffic will be travelling on the northbound carriageway while the M90 southbound carriageway is resurfaced.

The Junction 4 southbound on-slip will be closed throughout the project, and a signed diversion will be in place via J5 northbound off-slip then back down the M90.

Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North East Representative, said: “This surfacing project will help create a smoother and safer journey for motorists on this section of the M90.

“We thank motorists for their patience in advance while our teams carry out these essential improvements, and encourage road users to plan their journeys in advance.”
