Restrictions set for Wormit as sewer works begin

Scottish Water is due to begin essential works to upgrade the sewer network in Wormit.

The work will start on Monday and is expected to last around six weeks.

The project, to install two new sections of sewer and manholes, will take place on the B946 between Flass Road and Rankine Court.

Work will also take place on the access road to Woodhaven Pier from Rankine Court to install a new section of sewer and carry out sewer lining work.

Scott Fraser, corporate affairs regional manager, said: “During the works three-way traffic lights located on the B946 will be in place for approximately two weeks with access to Rankine Court retained.”

He added: “During the work on the access road to Woodhaven Pier from Rankine Court, the road will be closed to all traffic for a period of approximately five days.”
