Roadworks revealed for A92

Drivers using the A92 have been warned about two sets of roadworks which will lead to closures and speed cuts.

The maintenance work begins on Tuesday night (July 14) at Station Brae to Tay Road Bridge, northbound.

The overnight project will take place over four nights between 7.30pm and 6.30am, with surfacing expected to be completed by 6.30am on Saturday.

The £110,000 improvements will address defects in the road surface on the northbound section of the A92 between Forgan Roundabout and Tay Road Bridge Roundabout.

A 10mph convoy system will be in place during working hours. All traffic management will be removed during the daytime.

The westbound carriageway will be closed at Crossgates Junction from 8:00pm until 6:00am on Tuesday, July 21,and Wednesday 22nd allow for resurfacing.

Traffic will be diverted to M90 Junction 3 Halbeath via the Crossgates Roundabout.

Both schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if conditions are not favourable.

"Thorough risk assessments have been developed and cleansing stations will be implemented on site to ensure all staff remain safe.

“We’ve taken steps to minimise disruption for motorists as much as possible during the improvements, including carrying out the works overnight.

“We thank motorists for their patience in advance while our teams carry out these essential improvements on the A92, and every effort will be made to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible.”
