Two dead as car hits building

Two men have died after an overnight incident in which a car hit a building.

The incident happened at around 3am, and has resulted in the partial collapse of the building in Leven.

Police, ambulance and fire services were called to Barron Terrace, on Windygates Road in the early hours of this morning.

The road has been closed between the junction with Waggon Road and the Scoonie Roundabout.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called to a report of a car colliding with a building on the Windygates Road, Leven, around 3am on Friday, 17 July, 2020.

"Emergency services attended and two men, aged 27 and 29, were pronounced dead at the scene.

"The road is currently closed while officers are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of the crash."
