Thousands flocked to Kirkcaldy town centre for the third Fife International Carnival on Saturday.
The weather also did the organisers a good turn - delivering warm sunshine as a perfect back drop for the Mardi Gras sounds.
Over 170 performers took part in the colourful parade watched by crowds three or four deep in places as it made its way from the Town Square along the High Street.
The bands - who also performed to 35,000 people in the Edinburgh Jazz Festival the following day - created a noisy, fantastic spectacle which brought the town centre to life.
The High Street was busy in the build-up to the event with many turning out in anticipation of the parade.
The colourful costumes and giant artworks caught the eye as the groups made their way to various performance areas in the High Street and then back to the Town Square for more live music.
