The sky across Fife was lit up late on Wednesday evening as a spectacular thunderstorm hit the Kingdom.
Lightning strikes flashed repeatedly for a good hour, while the rumbling thunder was described by some people as ‘the loudest they had ever heard’.
This video, shot by Kirkcaldy resident Andrew Lightfoot, shows just how spectacular the lightning was - be prepared around 55 seconds in!
And the East Neuk didn’t miss the storm either.

The weekend will get off to a potentially soggy start as the Met Office is warning of isolated heavy showers and possibly thunderstorms.
The rain and possibly severe storms are expected during Friday evening and into Saturday.
