Staff, service users and their families have been given the chance to have their say on the design of the new care home in Glenrothes.
Their comments and views were collated during a two-week consultation.
The designs presented during the consultation were based on those previously developed for the new Kirkcaldy care home.
Feedback received will be forwarded to the design team which is working on new homes for Glenrothes and Lumphinnans.
Councillor Judy Hamilton, executive spokesman for social work, said: “We believe the new care homes will provide high quality care fand modern working conditions.
“Lots of work is going on to enable us to start construction in 2015 and I am looking forward to seeing the new care homes completed and in operation.”
Councillor Andrew Rodger, executive spokesman for health, added: “While our main aim is to enable elderly people to remain at home and independent for as long as possible, the time may come when a person needs full-time care and support.
“I’m delighted the new care homes will deliver the physical means to give people a high standard of care.”
