A steering group has been set up to organise a programme of events ahead of a visit from representatives from Levenmouth’s potential new twin town, Bruges.
In June, Levenmouth will play host to members of the official Bruges Twinning Association from the town which is in the Bordeaux region of France.

Although no official twinning link has been made yet, the visit has been arranged to begin the process of engagement and to look at areas of common interest between Levenmouth and Bruges.
The group has already been in discussions about the visit, due to take place at the start of June, and the programme of events includes a visit to the new high school construction site, as well as a Scottish themed night of food and entertainment at the Buckhaven Beehive.
The visitors will also be treated to a guided tour of Wemyss Castle Gardens, and a visit to Kingsbarns Whisky Distillery.
And following the visit, the steering group will be inviting members of community organisations, local businesses and other interested individuals to come together to take this initiative to the next stage of development.
If you are interested in being involved or would like more information please contact Blair Denwette on 01592 654017.
He said: “For the June visit we are keen to showcase the huge local talent that we have here in Levenmouth.
“There will be an exhibition as part of the Scots Night being held on Sunday, June 7 in the Beehive and we are putting out a call for people to be involved in exhibiting their work.
“We want to show the range and variety of things produced in our area.”
