Waid Academy in Anstruther is to host a special event enabling Fife high school pupils to find out more about Modern Apprenticeships and employment opportunities.
The session is part of a series organised by Opportunities Fife, led by Skills Development Scotland and Fife Council, involving local employers. It takes place at on February 25, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm and from 5pm to 7pm.
Modern Apprenticeships are jobs that allow young people to work, learn and earn; gaining industry recognised qualifications while getting paid.
June Gallagher,of Skills Development Scotland, said: “Employers from across Fife see the real benefits that Modern Apprenticeships can bring to them and their workforce.” Depute Council leader Lesley Laird added: “Bringing employers together with potential employees is really worthwhile and can lead to important connections being made.”
