Fife Sports and Leisure Trust said the decision to open these facilities was following the efforts of staff to make the centres accessible for customers.

However, customers were warned that some car parks would have limited access and there was the potential for services to be limited due to staffing levels.

According to the trust’s website, the majority of the leisure centres across Fife look set to resume their normal opening hours from tomorrow (Monday).

The exceptions to this are Lumphinans Sports Hub, Pitreavie Athletics Centre and Waterstone Crook Sports Centre.

These facilities will remain closed with a further update expected on Monday.
