In a statement Fife Council said bin collection services are still being affected by the snow and so there will be no collections today.

However recycling centres which are scheduled to be open are open today.

The statement said: “Please continue to leave your bins out and we will get to them as soon as we can. Although most main roads are now clear, some side roads and housing schemes are difficult for our vehicles to access so there will be no collection today.

“Household waste recycling centres that are scheduled to be open today are open. Please remember that the online booking system is still in place and vehicles will not be allowed access without a booking. Although all sites have been cleared of snow to allow access, please take care if you are using the sites today.”
