Fife weather alert: thunderstorms ‘Yellow Alert’ warning issued for Fife

The Met Office alert comes after heavy rainfall yesterday. The yellow warning, which also covers Dundee and a large part of of Perth and Kinross, is in force from midday until 6:00pm.

Fifers are warned that any thunderstorms could hit train services, flood some roads, and, perhaps damage buildings. People in the affected areas have also been warned that spray and surface water on roads may lead to increased journey times.
