Charities, health services and people with special mobility needs are set to benefit next week from one of the area’s best-known annual events.
The East Neuk Wheelchair Appeal is holding its annual presentation night in the Waid Academy library on Monday, March 30 at 6.30 p.m.
Chairs are being presented to two recipients – Dougal McQueen of Cupar and Grant Alison of St Andrews.
Appeal co-organiser Eleanor Bowman MBE added: “We are also helping to fund a specialised chair for Richie Horrocks, of Craigrothie, which is going to cost around £15,000.”
Local surgeries are also benefiting, with a range of new equipment, while cheques are due to go to a range of groups and charities, including MS, Motor Neurone, East Neuk Emergency Fund, Marie Curie, PSP, East Neuk After School Club, Bankie Park Development, SSAFA East Neuk First Responders, and more.
